The World Within Creates the World Without
Charles Haanel opened "The Master Key System" with one of the most famous statements in New Thought literature: "The world within creates the world without." He taught that the outer conditions of your life — your finances, relationships, health, and circumstances — are a direct reflection of your inner world of thought.
"The world without is a reflection of the world within," Haanel wrote. "What appears without is what has been found within. In the world within may be found infinite wisdom, infinite power, infinite supply of all that is necessary." This means that to change any external condition, you must first change the corresponding internal condition.
Haanel was systematic and rigorous in his approach. He did not present feel-good platitudes. He presented what he considered the science of mind — a set of laws as precise and reliable as the laws of physics.
